I miss my mother
I miss my mother
Not her presence, face or smile
But the mother that I missed
When she had to be strong, detached and filed
Where she filed away that place
She held
Deep within her womb
The beautiful soft and loving child
An open gentle tune
Days were hard and long
She held the fort so strong
Her feminine weakest links
Never really belonged
So I watched her way
Held her pain
In ways she never knew
Locked away, I feared to gain
A love so rare and true
But doors flung wide
To take it away
I am left with no divide
My mother’s love
It feels so sweet
Ready to take me high!
