Unhappy I Don't Think This Is Right??

Hello Everybody,

For those of you who have been meditating for a while. I have a question. Did you find that some of your friends and family got on your nerves to the point that you wanted to have no more contact? The more that I do meditate at least for me this is the case. I don't know if this is old stuff coming up that I must deal with, but right now, I'd rather be with the animals than with humans. I am angry and sad all the time. I thought meditation was suppose to make you feel good about yourself, but I feel so ugly now. I am so ready to just retreat alone and not have contact with any one any more. Has anyone felt like this?

Yeah... 'they' say meditation is supposed to be some feel good trip right? It's a healing and purification process, and that doesn't come easy.

Maybe retreat for a while is good, but don't run and hide.

Animals are always nice.

You'll be right. It's working don't you think?

Part of the proses of spiritual development is finding things that can be improved upon within your self.

In the beginning meditation can be like entering your mind/self for the first time and you surly will find things that you where not consciously aware of before from a human perspective.

When I first started meditating I found my self going up a stairway that seemed familiar; I went down a hall way at the top of the stairs and walked up to a door.

I tried to open the door but was stricken with Fear and couldn't bring myself to turn the handle. I revisited this door many times in meditations until me and my currant brother had a joint memory-In a "past life"- as a youngster I had murdered my baby sister in that room.

I don't have advice on what you should do about your family but meditation is about self discovery and improvement. For me "the joy" of meditation is in that self discovery.

For me its the fact that they seem to only disturb you when you want to meditate and it reapted every few minutes. Makes me wonder if its a test!

how long have you been meditating??
Sounds like you are going through part of your kundalini awakening.
Feelings of guilt and sadness will arise in order for a more natural happy self to be born. This can be things that you have to deal with or just feelings coming through from know where.
You might want to look at "the dark night of the soul"
