Hoff has done full length interviews with Joe Rogan and Russel Brand on you tube if ever you have the time to watch/listen.

for me the correlations between weight training and spiritual training is big.

i just noticed the interview with russel. think im gonna listen to it in its entirety while im on the road. thanks for sharing!

Some people are just inherently powerful. In the East it's attributed to the merit of their past lives.

I don't think Rasputin was a Buddha though. A powerful person, no doubt. But an enlightened being filled with compassion, no.

I mean he was assasinated because he was a political threat. That means he was one hell of a strategic thinker and skilled enough to rise up the political ranks.

Overall my vibe of him is fairly negative. Intelligent, strong, skilled, yes he may be all those things. but compassionate, peaceful, loving, those seem like a big stretch for me.

And a Buddha without compassion would be like a table with no top/base, a misnomer.

compassion as in like god is often misconstrued with personality. compassion that is beyond the mind, circumstances, and does not come and go is real compassion.

the only tbing that saves is from heaven or as i stated earlier. it dissolves and makes things ok. joy that is beyond and doesn't come and go is how god saves. that is god like compassion. everything else is just opinions. as my previous couple few girlfriends ago often said. opinions are like butholes. everyone has one.

from the documentary it sounded like he did experince such. more likely experiences of such. but nobody knows but him. he could of very well become planted in the real thing 24/7. at least he knew what it was. which is much more than most of the people. today. yesterday. and likely tomorrow.

a guru i had listened to some time back. don't know his name. but everything indicated he was beyond the mind for a long time. he spoke about how the guru's in india of yesterday would likely be in prison today for the rigorous practices they would give their disciples. we live in weak times folks. not saying i agree with such practices or not. but even in my brief existances its evident the minds of the people have become weaker. the trend is clear.

so my niece wants to become an officer in the military. she tells me boot camp isn't what it used to be. apparantly all the yelling, screaming, and doing what needs to be done to break one down is no longer. the pc police have made boot camp obsolete. she says she will need to call me and have me be her drill sargent for the real deal. i don't have it in me. and she doesn't expect me to. was a joke. but according to her thats what the word is on how things have changed. where this is headed doesn't look good.

on another note. when i was a kid i never saw a person wearing a wet suit surfing and so on. today except a couple of young girls on boogie boards all wet suits. again. where this is headed doesnt look good. weak.

the last strong generation. those growing up in the depression era. fighting in ww2. have mostly departed. strength has left the building.

Yea, Brand one is a really spiritual one. The one with Rogan is more physical and sciency. I listened to the Rogan one yesterday. Was pretty good. They basically drank beer and rambled on for 2 hours...
