Patience is a huge asset for the spiritual (truth) seeker.

There was a pop saying "You can't push the river" and often the flow of life simply cannot be rushed.

I, too am very interested in the between life, and there's a lot of information available even if one cannot readily visit there personally.

I've envied those who experienced NDE's as they seemed to gain a direct wisdom-comfort-insight from it. Yet oddly most had no prior interest in afterlife knowledge-insight.

Perhaps it provided a necessary redirection if they'd drifted off their "path" But that's only a guess.

From your and everyone's responses it seems that I'm on the right track just letting things come as and when they want to.

I've noticed that too with how most NDE's and OBE's actually cause spiritual learning/development and not the ther way around, I think you might be onto something with your "course correcting" idea as I am definitely a believer in these experience's acting as a guide not just in times of trouble but also in normality.
