Advice for using a pendulum to contact guides?

I belong to a Spiritual Center Church and they have a book store that includes some pendulums with crystal or stones. I would like to purchase one but thought I would research them first.

My question is, are they a reliable way to connect to our guides and was is the best way to use them?

I love my pendulum. Mine is copper with a thread with a small stones representing every chakra color. I love using it and it is a great tool for communicating with your Guides and Guardian. I dont use it alot though. I usually only use it when I am really seeking an answer about something that is pressing or if I need confirmation. When I first started using one I was still trying to build a relationship with Rowena. I was not trusting my gut and was unsure of what I was getting so the pendulum helped me "hear her" more clearly.

I have thoroughly enjoyed mine but for anyone thinking of purchasing one...make sure you know how to protect and ground yourself before using it. Just like any tool used for spirit communication there can be some nasty buggers lurking who would love to get a hold of you.

santacruz... A pendulum can be used for communicating with spirit guides... asking questions that can be answered only with 'yes' or 'no'.

However I suggest getting into a more direct and personal connection with them, so you can learn to hear their answers in your mind and feel their supporting presence.

You can get in touch with your guides by "asking the universe" or asking them to show you how to hear and sense them... since they are always with you just wanting for you to ask.
