Spirits seem to use this as a way of communicating. There are machines that can pick up white noise, as in radio waves, as well as one that can translate it into words. I have seen it used on digital recorders, Radio frequency machines and translators. Amy thoughts?

Yeah I've seen it on digital recorders but no way would I ever do that to me that's like using a ouji board.
Where I work as a nurse we have radios and we have connectors that go into our ears so we can communicate with one another on the spot (like cops do), anyways one night we all heard intereference several times and one time it and I swear we all heard the same thing, an old man said "help me help me" and it cut off....well yeah needless to say we were all freaked out.

I know what you mean. I worked on a telemetry Unit and we kept getting a signal on the monitor in an empty room. We searched everywhere, but could not find out where it was coming from. It was totally normal as well, so we knew they must be alive.

I specialise with EVP (electronic voice phenomena) within my group and have some very good examples. I have never used white noise as I find that if they want to talk to you, they will and it will come out clearer without the white noise. For me, white noise only makes it harder to hear. I do however, use a good Sony DVR with a option of amping the background noise. Most of the new versions dont do this now.

White Noise is said to be used by spirits during spirit contact. That could be because white noise is energy and spirit needs energy in order to manifest itself or be heard or seen. However, it is not always the case that spirit would use white noise exclusively. They can generally use any form of energy that is available to them in order to reproduce certain features they would need for communication. One example is the ectoplasm that Afterlife communicators exude. There are other examples as well such as plain electricity.

When we are at ceremony I will here the spirit voices coming in on the sound of drums and rattles. The sound waves from the spirits need physical sound waves to piggyback on. And there are other times that I here them without other noise. I have to be really in tune.

Well im buying a Ghost-Radio soon, most of you already know what this is, for those of you that dont, it picks them up by using alternating frequencies and as Greyeyes has just said they use it for piggybacking communication.

Alot of paranormal shows out there use them now, Ghost Adventures being one of them among many. Of course having them come through after asking questions is all well and good, but its always good to keep in mind that having a digital recorder arround at the time of the conversation can be a vital tool to have at your disposal.

I dont consider this tool anywhere near as bad as an Oujia board, Although it might have consequences that we are not aware of as of yet.

If you Amplifiy the background noise, you are prone to outside inteference thus making most evp's recorded prone to De-bunking. As far as using a DVR goes i will also reccomend a sony, because it is a quality brand name, then again so is Alba and panasonic.

I also Specialise in EVP, and have been doing it for many years now.. when you mentioned white noise makes it harder to hear, yes i agree with that, but since DVR's operate under ELF - (Extremely low frequency) when they come through on a DVR they use White noise i.e background noise to communicate to begin with, so there would appear to be no way arround this.. or is there..

Ive been using goldwave to Analyze various recordings over the past, and i believe i may of found a way to filter out white noise completely. there is no background noise at all and the voices appear as large as life. But the problem is that technology at the moment doesnt fully support it. So it would take someone to build there own version of a DVR, and then in turn upload the necessary data onto the chip, so that the recorder can function propely.

I will get back to people on this if there interested in my lil Experiment shall we say.

i think they disturb the electronics on purpose how else would you know they were there.. lol
