Have you ever starved yourself? And if you have why?

Have you ever starved yourself? Do you think its something to do with the frequency? Since i got spiritually aware, i am very picky when it comes to what i eat.
I rather don't eat at all than choose something which is junk.

Starving is a very bad idea. Choosing healthy foods and eating wisely is a good way to go. I think any advancement and change of intrinsic nature will bring about a need for healthier better foods, and junk foods won't be tolerated as well perhaps. I still like some junk foods but they will almost always give me indigestion now.
In my own case, a deeper appreciation of spiritual things brought me to stop eating animal products for compassionate reasons only -as I used to like fish and butter, cheese etc. But I make sure I make up for any possible nutritional deficiencies with supplements and wise plant-based food sources.

I generally follow a whole foods diet. Meaning foods as close to their original state as possible, and with as few GMOs as possible. Absolutely no fast food.

IE: Instead of buying a bag of sweet potato chips or a chocolate pudding, I make my own. Much healthier without all those unnecessary ingredients and preservatives.

It includes lots of grains, fruits, veggies, and occasionally some meat and dairy. That way you don't -limit- yourself and far less likely to indulge.

I have always had strange eating habits growing up, such as missing meals at "normal" times. So that follows me now. To where some days my first meal is not till 3 or 4 in the after noon. Perhaps I was a monk in a past life? I do know that during ones journey in spirituality and life, your eating will change. You will decide to eat things that resonate with you more. For some it's a diet that does not involve animals in any way, for others it's natural foods that are not processed..

Each person is unique. I know during my various changes in health trying to adopt better food choices for my body, it can limit your options of where you are going to eat... But those times, I wouldn't starve myself and not eat because I couldn't get something somewhere.

Where there is a will, there is a will. And starving yourself is not going to help you, and is just going to rob your body of the energy and nutrients it needs. In a perfect would we would just consume air, and sunlight.... But in this world we need food to function.

Nah I can't :/ I will start to feel light headed and nauseated if I go too long without food :/

Sure there been times when I felt grossed out and didn't want to eat or was depressed or angry but eventually I eat.

There are spiritual and physical benefits to intermittent fasting. I sometimes run, fasted...and I enjoy it both from a physical and mental standpoint. But, to each's own.
