Spirituality to me is a belief in a higher consciousness and that we all are from that.

It's probably nothing more than a set of sub-cultures within society, because if you are just yourself in the way that you are, there's nothing really that makes you 'spiritual'. A lot of stuff is just learned, all the religions and most of the meditation techniques and the moral codes of behaviour. In my own case, I did try to become part of a spiritual community, but I had to keep my own thoughts a secret because they would contradict what I'm supposed to think, and if people new who I was really, they wouldn't want me in their midst. What I eventually came to believe is, I can just be as I am.

i really like the saying I heard,

Being spiritual is having your own experience. Being religious is having someone else's experience. (Paraphrased)

Individual only see that what he/she believes , therefore we have 7 billions of different perceptions of reality,
because neither one of them has identical beliefs as somebodys else beliefs.
If someone have similar beliefs as yours, he/she has similar perception of the world as yours ,but not identical.
Those people with similar perception as yours ,you call friends, and others...who cares...haha

All best

Interesting, thank you for your posts.
from what u have said, realize that I was really asking how does spiritually manifest in your world?

example of my thinking is that;

I get feelings that tell me I like some one or not

OR some one told me a lie knowing that it was a lie

Or that some one is talking to me though really wants some one else to notice them not me?

These feelings are not emotional & appear to come from out side me?

My favorite definition is:

Religion is an organization, spirituality is an experience

Hello,

Spirituality is looking through what is felt and seen as being Spirit and Life.

Some will practice how to live.

Some will practice what it is to live.

Put it all together and it is life.

If one talks about it, teaches it, observes it, or just lives it, one is being Spiritual in some manner. Being of that which was, is, and continues to be.

For life is being and this to me is Spiritual (of the Spirit) and of everything.

What one makes of it is also of Life, which is the journey we are all on.

Hi Lozenge Squeezer

Spirituality occurs when human beings consciously awaken to the purpose of life, and then deliberately dedicate their life to that purpose.

Spirituality to me is an interest in improving one's perspective on the deep issues of life for the sake or personal growth and/or transcendence.
