The thread originally was:

"Are you comfortable using the word G-d?
Do you use other names for G-d?"

What I really wanted to know was
Are you comfortable using the word G-d?

You are only talking to Jews then right? I was so attracted to the subject
I forgot where it was placed, my bad.

I have.

If you study Genesis 1:1(a) in Hebrew then how it got translated into Greek and
then finally how it got translated, you might have enough material for a book.

Back to the original question, do you feel comfortable using G-D?

I'm going to assume based off of your reply that you have not researched the origins of the word GOD

Yeah I read it however if you had actually done your research on the name GOD you would have dismissed the validity of using it in the context of the abrahamic religion because of its multiple different Origins most of them predating the Jewish or Christian faith and so making the word God fallacious to even consider let alone ask a pointless question to others such as do you feel comfortable using it . Do you feel comfortable saying Tom? Would you say Tom I'm public?. See how pointless that was seeing as we both don't consider Tom to be a special name?.

Your statement has validity but, remember, this is the Jewish section.

Jews predominately use the expression G-D. I wanted
to have conversations with people who use G-D and wanted to know if they are comfortable with that expression.
