Who am I channeling
Sometimes when I meditate, I would get answers from certain voices. They make sense to me, but I don't know who they are. I feel as though I am receiving information from another being - they are talking to me, but I don't know who I'm channeling. Or if I'm even channeling. I don't always understand the information, I only receive it. I need to make an effort to understand it myself. I don't know if my mind just make these things up, or I'm channeling some things I don't know.

The last time I asked, they told me it didn't matter. They were just here to help and some philosophy things.

My first questions, when I am channeling, is that I ask for a Higher Guide, then I ask, "Who am I channeling?"
It is that simple  You will be amazed at some of the answers  |

That is a good response. As humans we are always looking for an authority to tell us what to think, feel, and do(Pure Slavery). Once we learn to examine information and various philosophies we Free the Self from dependence on others for our own well being.
It can be a very difficult mind set adjustment to Examine suggestions and then choose ways to discover what will be best for you. Learning to use spiritual guidance is a very good way to evolve your personal empowerment.
The Who that is helping you represents the love and wisdom of God, as I see these things.

Don't be scared the being won't hurt you. It's okay to provide some structure to receive channelings. Structure is a ritual that you go through where you have certain information given to you. Start out with very small general pieces of information and gradually open the channel wider. You are in control of the channel. If what you are getting makes you uncomfortable close it and wait. An example might be the name of the entity. ( give it a name if it does not understand this, entities with multiple incarnations usually just grab a name out of the air) the channeling is about... ect. You can also control the way the information comes to you. Visual, sound, in writing, on the radio. ect.
