How to contact Archangel Michael?

question - slight aside but on the back of firefly dancer's post - how do you know the "who's who" of the angels - for example you say Zadkiel for transmutation, Michael for protection?

I've done some google searches but am probably using the wrong search terms.

My advice on this would be to throw out all definitions out the window. Us humans have a terrible habit of placing things in a BOX. The truth is they are limitless - and have many many many sides. Metatron, I found to be a massive energy, but also quite patient and serious. However, I know that he also has a great sense of humour :3

Just call on each, write notes - make your own definition. But don't limit it ot that. Write this is what I know: X, Y and Z. The rest is unseen my freind ;)

Amen to that !! I also hate putting things in a box and label them, specially when it comes to the Divine. I am now also more comfortable to embrace the unseen and just say : I feel guided although I am not 100% sure who that is

If your guide or Angel tells you any name that is not from the common ones or not even give a name at all, know that you not necessarily need to "get in line" with another guide saying : "oh thanks, but I know this particular Archangel is the one I need". Your guides were chosen by you before incarnating. Your higher self is YOU in the astral, so who can be better to lead you than an enhanced, wise, so spiritual, with the experience of all past lifes YOU ??

So I agree, loose the labels, open to your guides no matter who they are unless you feel that the advice they give you is not a good one or positive one, there is nothing to fear about a confusion. Guides and Angels only want the best for you and would never lead you to something that is not for your growth.

I don't put things in a box either. You asked why I wanted to contact Michael. It's quite simple really. In most jewish/christian circles, Michael is considered to outrank even other archangels, which would make him fairly knowledgeable. (This is mostly due to mystic judaism placing him among the top of the heirarchy and the Christian bible for referring to him as a prince and specifically calling him an archangel which it doesn't do for Gabriel or Raphiel.)

The only group that doesn't rank him higher is Islam in which Gabriel holds the highest rank, but even so places Michael among one of the highest ranks among archangels. An earlier poster in this thread even referred to him as God's right hand. No matter what lore you look at he is highly regarded and one of few angels to get his name in human religious texts as well and the only one regarded as an archangel within all texts (some literature lists different archangels but he is always in the list). Furthermore, human encounters with angels usually involve Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael the most.

As you can see I looked into this before-hand. A trustworthy source is often one with a good reputation. The only problem is, rumor has it that there are a lot of fake Michaels out there (other pretending to be him). If you can find the real one though, you could probably get information on anything he is permitted to talk about, provided that your intentions are pure.

If I could, I would like to comment on this observation.

It is no so much that there are different AA Michael's out there as it is that every channel is biased by their own human conditioning. Every experience with Michael is unique, as would each of us discover if we could appreciated this point.

In quantum physics it speaks about the influence of the observer, or channel in this instance. So there are no fake Michaels out there, only humans who are translating their experience with Michael and reporting that event from their particular belief system or frame of thinking.

There are no absolutes in the way that the logical brain is conditioned to see life.

If you want to be exact Metatron is actually higher on the heirarchy of angels than Michael is. Metatron means "to sit at the side of God." In God's house God was the only one allowed to sit until Enoch was taken from the Earth and turned into the angel Metatron. Enoch was God's scribe in his physical life, and in his angelic life he is the voice of God. He is second in command to God, by far the highest in the order of angels.

All I have to do is think in my head his name and he will be there and you will know he is there because he fills the room with a certain energy which is felt from the heart it is a very loving and courageous energy and you will feel protected with it.

Also you may have a personal Archangel that is connected to yourself if you know it call it and it will have a special attribute to whatever you may need it for for example mine is for clearing out any negative energies from where I am that can affect me; ie, if I wanted to astral project I know that there wont be a entity with negative intentions to attack me, etc. but obviously energy is fluid and only has a temporary affect especially if you manifest negatiivity yourself, and good luck.
