Thank You Miss Hepburn, that helped. But those quotes are from the Bible, the same book that says if you are not Christian you wont get to Heaven!

Hmmm I saw a very good quote last night, it said that "spirituality is not written in or taught from books, but is taken from your own experiences."

How true is that for many if us here?

Also there is a big issue with the bible. Have to remember is was written back in the 6th century AD, when Christianity and in particular catholicism was considered to be the "one true religion of God". Which troubles me, God created us all, he loves us all. If Christianity was the "one true religion", when why didn't he make us all Catholics from the very beginning? If he loves us all so much, then why would he deny us to enter heaven, when he could have made earth exclusively for Christians? There is a simplish answer, God belongs to us all, he does not belong to any religion, and the same goes for the other gods, goddesses...heck even Angels. It is all just humanity wanting to make certain deities exclusive to them. Which is why I am a eclectic pagan, I believe in all deities, and work with them all on a equal basis. The Christian God to me the creator, the esscense of all live, as he is the only one I know of who does not have a "form" like say, Shiva. And Gods counter part, is the Goddess, Mother Earth.

All you need to do it step away, and look for the truth inside of you, and no one else.

the way I see it is, christianity (and esp fundy christianity) is what other people have done to the teachings of an amazing guy so they can control the populous. Hell and damnation has nothing to do with Christ, it has to do with control and fear.

Try to strip away the stuff that has been added over the last 2000 years and just listen to what Jesus said.

But I do understand, my mum believes that god is all forgiving and then has the whole hell fire and brimstone number done on her and she starts to doubt herself. She would be so much better off believing what is in her heart!!!

Leave the fear to the other people and trust yourself and your judgement... hey we could all be wrong and the atheists are right... we will never know till we die, so we may as well live our lives happy eh?

There have been appiritions, appearances etc, that are very similar to Christian ones.

Really, all religions have their own miracles, in their own sense. These miracles bring the religion to life and draws out true spirituality to those who experience them. Hindu holy men, for example, are meant to be spiritual healers, and is able to conduct miracles; as in Christianity, miracles are carried out my Holy Saints...they all contain the same essence from the Creator (God).

Yes you are right. Miracles are truth.

The problem is that there are some magician who do what people think is miracle, but in fact they are practicing magic.

So, the best thing to avoid confusion and be in the safe side is to consider the message itself. If the message make sense more than the others, then it is the truth.

Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, said to one of his friends: "Ask your heart about the answer even if people gave you answers upon answers".

Are you asking about the prophet miracles, or miracles of his followers?

All muslims agree on the prophet's miracles (the Quran is the biggest of them. The rest are physical, and only those around him could detect them. So the impact is not continuos as the Quran.)

But the miracles of muslims are rare and many people invent lies to promote their teachers.

The link seems to be observations.

For me, all observations are relative truth, but the truth is the best one.

If I see the money as mine, and you see it as yours, then the truth is either the money is for both (50%50, etc), or for non, or for one.

"The Best" analysis is the truth.
