Near Death Expereiences, donating organs?

I have just finished 2 books on NDE. Very good books. I was at a funeral of a friend the other day and they mentioned that parts of his body were given to others. The eyes and heart were mentioned. My question is: If your heart is given to another human, does your soul die, or does it carry on in the new persons body?

No, the physical Heart does not contain the Soul of the person. The Soul of the person enters the Spirit world at the death of the physical body. It is entire, and has no need for anything to do with the physical body any more. It has a "body" of its own.
The body-parts left behind -either to decay, to be burnt, or to be re-cycled are organs. If they are re-cycled, and re-animated by another body, then they are assimilated into that other physical body (so long as organ rejection doesn't occur, for immune reasons) -and become part of the physical vehicle of that other person's Soul.
It would be like taking the water pump out of one car and fitting it into another car. Those things have nothing to do with the driver of the car, and the way he/she drives.

I have heard stories of people who have suddenly had likes/dislikes etc of the deceased person whose organ they received. I don't know the validity of things like this. It's possibly a form of psychism? It's not that the person's Soul inhabits their physical heart/liver/kidneys etc after death.

The body doesn't contain the spirit, the spirit contains the body, when your body dies the spirit is where it always was, for me there is only one spirit, not millions living in apartments called bodies.

I was just wondering, because if the heart is still pumping from the body it was in, the body sort of hasn't really died, has it?

At the time of death, the soul leaves the physical body. However, I have heard of times where someone recieved an organ from someone else and occasionally took on their cravings or something. That, or they weren't entirely the same afterwards. Of course, I personally think that just means they were grateful to get another chance at life.
