Yes... They call this a near-near death experience, and it can be very life affirming.

I'll summarize what I've read about NDEs, and how each persons NDE is different, yet meaningful to that individual.

From what I understand, everyone sees something different when they experience an NDE. Typically, they'll float above their body, see someone lying hurt on the ground (that's them!!! But they don't care!), but they will feel very detached. Above them, or somewhere near them, will be the 'entrance'. It may be that characteristic tunnel with light at the end, or it may be a gate, or a door.. it seems to vary for every person. Then, they will go through the entrance, and it will be of pure love and absolutely INDESCRIBABLE ecstasy, whatever may be on the other side.. it can be a pasture, with a bright and lovely sun on the horizon, it can be a city of light, full of laughter and happiness, and no troubles, it seems it can be a variety of things. A deceased relative(s) (and they may or may not be in human form), OR a being of light greets them, but tells them they are not ready OR gives them the choice to stay or go back to 'learn' and 'experience' more on Earth. Sometimes, the deceased relative or being of light, lets them re-experience events in their life, or shows them phases beyond that state of heaven (would that be the 5th density?).

I'm just thinking out loud now, but it's very peculiar to me how everyone experiences this taste of heaven differently. But it's also fascinating. Perhaps it is an experience *just* for that individual?

Hi Cloudpulse, and welcome to SF.

Yes, there's quite a variety in near death experiences with some commonalities.

As I see it, we get partly what we subconsciously expect and partly what we need.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

NDE's are fascinating, and share so many elements in common: yet it's amazing how some experiencers claim that they went to hell: others that there is no hell. Some were atheists beforehand, and become Christians afterward. Others were conventional Christians, and afterward claim that religion makes no difference. Some claim to have had meetings with God: others say they saw no evidence of God.

To me, they seem to confirm that there's life after death: but they can be quite confusing as to what form that life takes.

Yes... although I think it's more confusing to us on this side than during the nde.

There a good book about the confusion people often experience following their experience, which may last for years. This is: "Beyond the Light" by P.M.H. A****er.

I have never found a way to truly describe what I saw there and resort to the only explanation I can give for something that defies our limited language. LOVE was boundless yet contained, no color and all color, nothing and all things, it was tangible, dense, mysterious, light. It was everything and nothing. It was an actual presence but not personality. It was all shape and no shape. I felt so joyous in the most peaceful quiet way...very grounded and accepting.
This is remarkable like my meeting with God (click link in sig).

Sorry, didn't read the rest of the thread, but all these people with NDEs differe from dying people in one very specific way.
