A belated introduction

Hi all,

I signed up some years ago, then forgot about this place until now, but here I am again ready to give it a new go.

Quick introduction: I've been a practising Zen Buddhist for neigh on 2 decades since I was a teenager. Though I consider my outlook more broadly 'Mahayana'.

I really ♡ the Bodhisattva Path, and based on a number of experiences I've had over the years, I tend to read a lot of the cosmology stuff in the sutras far more literally than your average Zen Buddhist practitioner, whilst also acknowledging the universe is far wider and too complex to be encapsulated by any tradition - Hence me dipping my toes in a less streamlined pond here in these forums.


I guess I am posting here now to nourish my aspiration to mature a bit more and come to a stage in life where I can begin to really help and heal people. Not quite that clearcut of course, but it feels as if I've mostly enjoyed gestating in the baby-bodhisattva womb till now and the time is ripening for learning how to walk (or take baby steps, whichever comes first).

In recent news, I presently am in year 2 of a 4 year psychotherapy study. Recently lost my job due to a persistent fatigue illness I got from a tick bite back in May that I am still grappling with. Am otherwise in good spirit.
