Freedom - what does it entail?

These are the days of the endless summer
These are the days, the time is now
There is no past, there's only future
There's only here, there's only now
Oh you’re smiling face, your gracious presence
The fires of spring are kindling bright
Oh the radiant heart and the song of glory
Crying freedom in the night
These are the days by the sparkling river
His timely grace and our treasured find
This is the love of the one magician
Turned the water into wine
These are days of the endless dancing and the
Long walks on the summer night
These are the days of the true romancing
When I’m holding you oh, so tight
These are the days by the sparkling river
His timely grace and our treasured find
This is the love of the one great magician
Turned water into wine
These are the days now that we must savor
And we must enjoy as we can
These are the days that will last forever
You've got to hold them in your heart.

When did we forget our dreams?
The infinite possibilities that each day holds
should stagger the mind.
The sheer number of experiences I could have
is uncountable, breathtaking,
and I'm sitting here, refreshing my inbox.
We live trapped in loops,
reliving a few days over and over
and we envision only a few paths laid out ahead of us.
We see the same things each day,
respond the same way,
we think the same thoughts,
every day a slight variation on the last.
Every moment smoothly following
the gentle curves of societal norms.
We act like if we just get through today,
tomorrow our dreams will come back to us.
And no, I don't have all the answers.
I don't know how to jolt myself
into seeing what each moment could become.
But I do know one thing:
The solution doesn't involve watering down my every little idea
and impulse for the sake of someday easing into a mold.
It doesn't involve tempering my life
to better fit someones expectations.
It doesn't involve constantly holding back
for fear of shaking things up.
This is very important,
so I want to say this as clearly as I can.

Dont worry about all that!

Typed all that out for you mum.
Love you with all my heart!

Greetings..

Hi Sound: I sense that it entails the absence of expectation.. it entails the genuine curiosity that reveals limitless potential.. and, it entails accepting that "it is, after death, as it was, before life", so that the pure joy of Living is captured in the instant of its experience, and diminished in the conceptualization of its meaning.. it also entails the wisdom of understanding we are each parts of a greater Whole, and treating our brothers and sisters as 'equal parts'..

Be well..

I will also add my two cents.

I would say freedom is the absence of a want for control, approval, and security.

Gentle Thud
Oxymoron of learning, go slow while you run
We’ve waited for eons; in the end our learning has begun

The lessons we forget, those ones we already knew
That ageless knowledge, so refreshing and true

My self with its centre stands out on its own
Creating far reaching ripples, how small they have grown

We talk of reflection and the shadow it casts
How future is present in all of our pasts

Spontaneous will …. through boundaries explore
All that is awaiting behind open doors

And what of the norm in all its diversity?
Is it often portrayed to mean the reverse of it?

The path less travelled is the one all do take
Sharing experience for individual sake

Confusion is now making so much more sense
In all of our options freedom the only expense

Greetings..

Quote:

Freedom - what does it entail?
It entails vigilance.. be vigilant that the mind does not break the will of the spirit.. the spirit knows nothing but freedom and we are that, within the physical experience.. it is only by yielding to the illusions of the mind's misconceptions that we establish beliefs contrary to the truth of our existence..

Be well..
