Nature - Chapel, Teacher, Healer

Nature has always been my chapel. A place where I feel a sense of peace, well-being and in touch with spirit. Where I can walk a quiet path and just Be. I would love to hear from others what nature means to them and how they experience themselves in nature.

Hi again feather... For me, to be able to go into nature, some-where completely private, away from the pressures of everyday life , is the nearest you can be to your true self. A place for one's soul to be themselves....

I am never really out of nature.
I do however enjoy a good month in isolation
in nature and preferably in the mountains.

When isolated in nature my being profoundly shifts
slows down to the rhythm of the environment.
It also seems to clean me of all societal residue naturally.

Hi, it sounds lovely. Don't you think it's because we experience ourselves in our "true " form, as free as our true existence would naturally be? Because it's not natural is it, to be woken up by a horrible intrusive alarm clock most days, to instruct "" you Have to get up now""...I think we have to live a life going against almost all of our natural instinct. We are the only animals on the planet that do that.

I think it is important to find balance.
I also find it helpful to remember that if in the city or nature
we always have fire, earth, water, air in us and all around us.
We cannot separate from it in the body. We can always breathe
with healthy intent or concentrate on our fire in our belly or
take a sip of earths blood water that refreshes and we can realize our body is operating
with the minerals and nutrients of earth and we can find a moment of
gratitude and thankfulness for the love that our Mother the earth provides for us.

Oh I do. If I am on the 2 hour bus journey to babysit my grandson ( under normal circumstances) I look at the beauty of nature out of the window. I see the fields in all the seasons, and I look at the sky, the clouds, see the landscape there too, while many around me are too busy yawning at being up at this ungodly hour (youths going to college lol)... Or pensioners out on a jaunt too busy talking about next doors problems and overgrown garden to enjoy the view !!! Although to be fair, I would still see the beauty in an overgrown garden. And I am lucky to have the tranquility of the beach on my doorstep. But still... It's the intrusion of that dratted alarm!!

I like to go to the parish, talk the trees, commune with the dead, it makes me feel at peace.
