Manifesting a Job
Hi everyone! Its been a while since I have posted. ive been buy with this holiday season and whatnot.
I am trying my hardest to find a job. I spend two hours a day submitting my resume everywhere. I am very desperate (which I know is bad for LOA) but I really want to know if anyone has any successful LOA or even practical ways to get employers to call back. I have all the qualifications and education behind me, its just im not getting recognized.
Thanks

Get out your phone book.
Seriously. Grab a pen and pad and sit. Open the yellow pages and scan down the A's. Anything that grabs you call. Continue on with the B's, C's, etc. Don't be to picky. You'd be surprised what will come up.
Ask to speak to the person who does the hiring. No one else.
Tell them you are looking for a position and bla, bla, bla.
Ask if they have need of your skills.
If they say yes, set up an appointment. If they say no ask if they know of anyone who has need of your skills.
If they say no thank them and hang up. If they say yes, ask if you can say they (the person you are speaking to on the phone) referred you.
Never had a problem finding a job in my field. I'd go no more than a few weeks without a job even in a recession back in the 80's when I moved to another state.
Something like 8o or 85% of the jobs are never advertised.

I'd focus on the places I really wanted to work.

I don't mean LOA focus. I mean focus like make a top ten list, research them, find out everything about them. Tweak the resume to suit what you find out...

Good suggestions, I would like to add Confidence, that you will find a job, try to repeat this to yourself several times a day till you really believe you will.
