I find these to be SO useful in my life, in so many ways. I started out using ones I'd found online, but lately I've been coming up with some of my own that just "feel" right to me.

What I did was I found this web calendar that sends email reminders for whatever event you put in. I'd been using it to remind me of birthdays and appointments, normal stuff. You can set it to repeat the same "event" every day for a year if you like. Then I had the idea of using the calendar for affirmations. The system emails them out to me each day at the times specified. My cell phone gets email so I get them no matter where I happen to be. It's a reminder to me to stop and think about what's really important.

Present tense, and positively phrased.

Aim for 1000 repetitions every day. This sounds a lot, but we think around 100k thoughts a day anyway. This is enough to get a new and positive thoughts imprinted subconsciously. Aim to do this for 100 days.

The reason for this is that mind power in this way, gains a kind of INCREMENTAL PSYCHIC MOMENTUM. If you are consistent with your practice, then things which are more and more relevant to the affirmation you are using, start to manifest in reality.

Nothing much happens for the first few days, but that is because your mind is getting used to a new thought you are feeding it. After about 3-4 days though, you get an aha moment where the tipping point has been reached. Something relevant to your affirmation manifests in your reality. It might be something you read, something you see, the actual affirmation being referred to, a song you hear, or a small development in some way.

For instance, you could be affirming I LOVE MYSLEF, and then someone says that you are lovely. It may be small, but it is a sign that your thoughts are working and that reality is starting to change.

From then on, if you keep on being consistent with your thoughts, things which are more and more ‘relevant’ to your affirmation will happen, until the actual desired results are obtained. This is why mind power isn’t anything to do with religion or a philosophy, but a practice which all of us can use. We all have minds and can use mind power.

This process of thought-forming also works just as well for any other mind-power technique, not just affirmations. So if you use gratitude, forgiveness, visualisation etc like this, it will work in the same way. There is power in repetition, and in numbers.
