I think it would be wise to just make your own choice on Loki. I mean yes he can be evil and cunning but like you've said he can be kind and positive to some. personally i have loki's son fenrir as my deity and it has both it's up and down's - he's helped bring out a more wolf like side i had as a kid but lost as i got older so it's good to have it back but my temper has slowly gotten worse when i once had got rid of it compltely but i know it's part of my true nature and i love being able to access it again.

Loki is the brother of Odin. In Christian terms: God and Satan. Satan is the Adversary but he is also Lucifer the Lightbringer/bearer, the morning star. Loki and Odin are two sides of the same coin and would you call the coin bad? In my view we learn and grow because of the adversary. Would you learn and grow if your life is only love and light?
