how to interact with them?

i believe spirits are all around us. sometimes at night i hear loud cracks through the walls and it keeps me from sleeping. everytime i say shutup in my head or aloud and the crackimg immediately stops. i wondered at one point if spirits were tyinf to get my attenttion to i asked, let them speak, trying to get some kind of answer but nothing.. so how do you speak or interact with them? do you have any kind of advuce? thanks

I think most of the pops and cracks are temp. changes in the wood and not a ghost , but I do believe there are a few ghosts out there . I guess you just just talk to them assuming they will hear you .
