This wasn't a movie, but a TV series. I just watched "The Almighty Johnsons" on the SCIFi Channel. I was pretty spellbound. I found the idea of Norse Gods living in New Zealand in a semi-human form to be awesome. I even checked to see if the series was based on a novel. No luck!

The Arrival

On hulu. With Charlie Sheen.

Was a pretty good Alien flick, plus Charlie is quite handsome :) I loved seeing him in a nerdy role and a mustache and beard. He pulls facial hair off very nicely :)

Cold in July

wow, just wow. i was feeling quite sensitive at the time which can sometimes make me think any film is mindblowing so it might have been my mood but this movie was a real thrilling ride. after 30 mins in i thought this plot is soooo obvious which way its going then bam! does a 180 on ya and goes in a totally diferent direction which twists and turns all over. quite dark in places but its thriller not a horror. ending is to die for i thought. proper story

Hotel Rwanda

On (Free) Hulu -- last 2 days to see it -- had always wanted to see it, but man was that sad, and it was very suspenseful.

The Signal. A film I will be watching again! If you like sci-fi and ETs then this is for you! Reminded me of the excellent Dreamland.

On a road trip, Nic and two friends are drawn to an isolated area by a computer genius. When everything suddenly goes dark, Nic regains consciousness - only to find himself in a waking nightmare.

Trailer.
