Hi Miss Hepburn,

Just wanted to offer for those interested,
that (imo) the very best, most authoritative commentary on the Gita
is by Sri Aurobindo available for free in PDF form
at the following link - just scroll down to Vol 19.

Essays on the Gita

Hope this is helpful,

~ J

Hello Everyone -

Caveat Emptor: Just wanted to offer my counter-opinion that the 'authoritative' Sri Aurobindo doesn't really know what (I really know) he is talking about.

Thank you. I respect that, I will certainly look at this ~J. ...while others would say Yogananda's is, ha! :)I happen to think at the moment, like for 10 years, Paramahamsa Hariharananda's is ("In the Light of Kriya Yoga")---and just try to get the 3 volumes of that!

*I did find the last Book - 3 weeks ago at a Used Book Store!!! Like for
$8....hahahahalol - the find of 2020!

I have no scientific evidence for anything I say.
Better to PM me if you want me to see a post to me. I miss a lot.

Hi Miss Hepburn,

Included within a few (3 or 4) chapters of this authoritative and authentic treatise written by a genuine contemporary sage, is a very good discussion on the little understood subject of avatars/avatarhood. The reason this is significant is not only because it is so fundamental to the story and credibility of Krishna's utterances, but also to the understanding of life-purpose and opportunity, and especially how we are recipient of unfathomable grace in and through these manifestations. These commentaries are invaluable in this regard alone .

I am familiar with the Yogananda but not the other so thanks for mentioning!

p.s., I'm glad you found that book, and bargain price is always added joy! (<- God does this for devotees??!?!?)
