Gold sheen obsidian

I have just been gifted a gold sheen obsidian sphere. It appear black till it is taken into sunlight, when it reveals gold specks glittering mysteriously floating below dark green depths. It is supposed to be a scrying stone.
Please share your experiences if any with this interesting crystal. Thanks.

Aww no, never used it, black, snowflake, mahogany and rainbow yes... but gold sheen never. I have never been able to scry with my black though... not sure I really knew what I was doing though lol, but I do love obsidian in general but it can be brutal under a pillow! I have never had problems with it in the day or meditation though. It's a good "let's resolve all that stuff I don't want to deal with stone".

Haven't got gold sheen obsidian, yet. I love it though! been very close to buying a large tumbled piece. And once fell in love with a gold sheen obsidian skull, a really unusual one. unfortunately it chose to go to another guardian :'(
I think the gold brings an extra power to it. Warmth, maybe masculine energy (gold, sun = masculine). So maybe will help to act, focus, to get/stay strong and centered. It feels really positive and powerful. To me, if I intuit, what mostly stands out is warmth. Like an embrace. Like being kissed by the sun, but with the vastness of the Universe underneath (black obsidian). Expansion. wisdom.
That sort of thing.

I also like the silver sheen, but in comparison that feel cooler. I think I'd sooner buy the gold sheen. The difference I feel between the two is mostly the gold sheen reaches out so to speak, without having to make an effort.
The silver sheen requires going within, it doesn't reach out as much, you will have to do the reaching, if that makes sense.
I wonder what its qualities are when I look it up :p One masculine (gold sheen) the other feminine. Both with that black vastness and wisdom of the Universe behind it.

Thanks Fairycrystal that really helps:) I really need to get centred and focus and act right now and maybe my friend, who gifted me this sphere, sensed it. It is warm, masculine and mysterious all at once. Yes, yes do get one!

Thank you Dude. Yes I could never keep any obsidian under my pillow. It is a stone I like to have around though to pick up, hold and resolve issues as you pointed out.
The gold sheen has obsidian like feel, it is very protective also but it has a personality of its own different from black, mahogany and snowflake.
It is as Fairycrystal says warm and inviting and at the same time completely closes up at times. Hope you get one soon:)
