Oh my niece has saved my family! We've had a lot of deaths, a lot of suicides, and my family was falling apart. Everyone got drunk and fought all the time, and my grandma stopped leaving her house for 10 years. I left home and lived out in the woods because I got sick of all the gloom and tension.

Now Granny is up, out, and on the move with a new great-granddaughter in her life. My mom has also cut down on smoking and drinking, because she wants to watch her only grandchild grow up. My big brother is finally growing up (a little) now that he has a kid to raise. But my poor niece has to grow up in this world, in this day and age.

Oh well, she made her decision. She seems happy enough for now. When she sees someone she loves, she gets the biggest toothless smile on her face and shrieks "Ah!", and when I lie beside her on the floor, she rolls over to me and snuggles up to my arm. I could just chill out and chat with that baby for hours.

My uncle and I both dreamed about our niece months before she was born. She was a little older in our dreams, perhaps 2-5, but I'm not entirely sure. We discussed our dreams later on and were amazed at the similarities. I think I prefer my niece as a baby though, she can't talk back.

I don't have grandchildren, but I also sometimes feel a special connection with certain kids. For example, one of my cousins, she is a very little girl, about 3 or 4 years old. everytime I see her, we stare at each other a long time, and it is kind of funny when we look at each other in the eyes. It's a kind feeling, like you already get along even though you don't know each other :) I also had this experience with a child I met at a volunteer event. she was a toddler. as soon as we locked eyes, her eyes sparkled and she hugged me. I don't know why, but sometimes when I look at someone in the eye, it looks like their eyes are glowing and its a funny and kind feeling like you want to laugh, like you know and understand each other

Pay attention to the energy between you. It's hard to explain, but I can feel it in my stomach when I know something, it's very instinctive. You can feel other people's energy, it can be very subtle sometimes, especially with babies because their energy has been renewed, and cleansed. So when they come back, the older they get, the more their personality and old traits from other lives starts coming out more. But we are not exactly the same as we were before. As the baby gets older, they will start to remind you of someone's energy you knew...and that's how you will know.

I'm reading a book now "Life Between LIfe" I think is the name...the writer talks about asking people when they entered the body, was it as early fetus, or late...most entered right before birth and this is off topic but I started thinking about people that seem to have no souls...I wonder if the soul decided not to enter at last minute? I've encountered some people that seemed soulless and it's a startling experience and chilled me to the bone.

My son and daughter in law tried for five years to have a baby and here he is! He's four months old and the happiest baby I've ever seen. :-)

It's tempting to want to believe that someone you feel 'in tune' with so strongly is a member of your soul-group or soul-cell, even a baby. It can't be ruled out but neither can it be certain while we're on this side of the divide.

A similar situation is sometimes found when partners feel a deep attraction/love for one another and believe they are eternal 'soul mates'. They may be, of course, but it can't be certain and the proof will be found only after the partners have passed over.
