Amazonite

Picked up these beauties over the weekend at an expo I was attending. They have quite the energy to them, and work well together. Like brother and sister stones working in unison. I seem to have acquired quite the collection of Amazonite these days. These are my fourth pieces now.

I did a nice meditation with them all today, and it was really peaceful and the energy was very relaxing. I didn't want to stop.

There isn't much in this section about Amazonite, and I know what it's about from a google search. Just curious to hear about others experiences with the stone. I've also finally gotten some celestite, which I love. Been wanting that one for a while now. I just started getting back into working with my crystals after not using them for months.

Cool buy. I haven't felt connected or drawn to buy this particular stone but its a pretty shade of blue. Seems really 'light' energy. I wouldn't mind owning a large palm stone at some point.

Do you prefer rough over polished stones?

I usaully buy in raw form as I like things being natural, but, I had to have this little amazonite pyramid.

Normally I go for the polished ones over the raw. I don't know why. Perhaps the look of them? I know many people tell me that the raw ones, to them are more powerful than the polished ones.

These two here are more powerful than my other polished stones. I don't know if it's because of size or because they are raw.

I did learn with this post, since I uploaded it to Imgur not to leave crystals as a public post. That did not go well with the comments.

That is a lovely piece you have there, Khalli. I have a few crystal pyramids myself, but don't work with them that often. I also have one crystal skull that I have not touched since I bought it back in 2016. I've got it stashed away in a draw. It kind of intimidated me when I originally bought it. Always wanting to be out, and be touched, and used. Never had a stone behave like that, so put it away. Perhaps fear got the best of me. Dunno.

I've been drawn to amazonite for a while now. It's calm but energetic and I love the colour.

I too prefer rough stones generally, but I think it depends on the stone. I can think of several types of stones that really benefit from polishing, and with some, you can't get the maximum beauty without some kind of cut or polish. Some great examples are :

Fire Agate ( be very careful with this one, you can ruin it by taking too many layers off )
Labradorite
Tiger Eye
Malachite
Ocean Jasper

I still prefer to keep these as raw as possible however. Such as having a raw piece that is smoothed and polished to bring out luster, but not cut in any particular shape.

BTW I think it's a cool pyramid too. :)
