Feel like I'm floating when I meditate.

Lately when I meditate I feel very light as if my whole body is floating. My skin starts to tingle and I feel almost like I am levitating, but I am aware that my body has not actually lifted.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and any thoughts on what it could be.

Thanks

IndigoAmber... Some people rise above their body a little in meditation in their energy body. This seems to be what you are doing. It's a fine way to meditate, but if you want to be more in your body simply breathe down in your lower belly.

It's OK

You’re just being aware of your extended energy field. It can be a natural part of your connecting w/ your energies & HS. It’s OK. You’ll get used to this.

If this feels unbalanced, grounding to the planet's center can be useful when feeling spacey. You could explore working this into the meditation or grounding before or after meditating. Use what works.

Do you have any concern about separating from your physical body?

Hi there,

you are entering what is known as the trance state or a deeper level of trance. this is perfectly normal as you enter this state when you go to sleep every night. I would suggest that in meditation you try and keep grounded as you will lose focus and clarity. Try to ground yourself through earth energy, draw on the earth for stability and keep your focus. meditation is not about feeling floaty, even though this can feel nice, but the stability underlying the floaty feeling are the true rewards

IndigoAmber... An excellent book to read that describes astral projection, and the author's experiences in the higher, spiritual dimensions, is "Adventures Beyond the Body" by William Buhlman.

This is available in paperback, and as a free pdf file at - http://api.ning.com/files/nTSdV*CY*ywIHIm4D8CbwwHEN7RF9bXkD6C3pIfU-eo_/Adventures_Beyond_the_Body.pdf

I reckon just keep doing what you're doing it sounds fine as it is.
