I visualised someones past life at Open Circle

I attended my first Open circle today. 12 people plus the tutor who asked me to stand up in front of the circle with him and asked me to think of the first thing that came into my head(is it really THAT simple?). 10 seconds later, I could see an old lady with grey curly hair and wearing a white blouse with a old fashioned big floppy lacy frilly collar which I guessed to be about in 1890. Then after another 10 seconds I saw ship upturned at one end.
At that point, the tutor asked if this related to anyone in the circle. A young lady of about 18 said it did and it was a recurring dream she had been having for 5 years of her drowning on a ship and was wearing the same blouse. This freaked her out somewhat but the tutor suggested that it is likely to be a life experience from her spirit past. That concluded my session.

So, was I actually reading her mind or was I reading her spirit or does it amount to the same thing ?

That's really exciting, I would talk to the tutor to find out about more, if the tutor was experienced he / she would be able to pick up the energy you are connected with and guide you as to how to develop.

Thanks for the reply. In some ways, having had time to reflect, I feel that it was cut short and that I should have continued and perhaps drawn closer to the spirit and perhaps find a meaning or message for the hapless girl both in the living and spirit world. The fact is, that surprise (of my first contact) took over the situation and the sensitive nature of the situation was lost at that point.

This experience has made me very careful to travel the vision to its natural conclusion for both me, the spirit and the affected.
