Air quality while meditating indoors.

Oxygen rids 70% of toxins, or so I've read. Either way oxigen is key for my day happyness, its almost magical. Anyway I also read that a current of air isn't enough to bring oxigen(Which really is no surprise.)

It could be as simple as doing it outside but I don't feel as comfortable. All of my windows are open and the air still feels heavy and non-pure.
Any experience? Or am I the only one with this silly issue?

I don't understand. Earth's air is 21% oxygen. Naturally, there is slight variation at times (emphasis on the slight). To get more oxygen, you'd have to breathe oxygen-enriched air, as you might get in the hospital. Even diving tanks only contain compressed air, not pure oxygen.

Air exists. Unless you're in a vacuum, it's simply there. How can "a current of air" not be enough? And what is "a current of air"? Can you clarify your question?

(Air = Approximately 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, .93% argon, .039% carbon dioxide + smaller amounts of other gases.)

Hi and I'm glad you took the time to explain. Yes, there are a few errors in the post, what I meant in a current of air was a breeze through the window.

Since we exhale carbon monoxide, wouldnt a room get polluted during long meditations?

We don't exhale carbon monoxide (CO), we exhale carbon dioxide (CO2).

Moreover, we don't exhale 100% carbon dioxide. We exhale CO2 plus oxygen (less than we took in, of course), and other gases. So a room couldn't get "polluted" unless it were airtight. Making a room airtight is very difficult.

You don't have to worry about getting enough oxygen. If you are in generally good cardiopulmonary health, you get ample oxygen. If you think you're not getting enough air, please see a physician.

A few indoor plants may help. Aloa vera and snake plants are two good air purifiers that I know of. Or are you feeling chi that is trapped in your meditating room due to over accumulation of stuff and furniture? you may want to look at feng shui for some tips on creating a healing space.

I wasn't being snide or snotty. I was serious. I was also trying to put your mind at ease...trying to tell you that you're probably concerned about nothing. But if the problem seemed serious, to get it checked out.
