Is The Second (Energy) Body Real??

Thoughts on this?

Supposedly we have a second body, comprised of energy and its this that survives physical death. Some say this body is primary??

Im more that if anything survives death its the mind/consciousness/soul and it generates the impression of a body for us

What do others think?

You dont have it, because,in reality, you are the mind which made this world.
But you can make even a light body to be in. So yes, if you look at this in this way, you have a second energy body, and every energy body which other seems to make.

I think this is a real possibility...

In some of the texts I've read, there is usually mention of several layers of 'bodies'...

Physical, Astral, Mental, Causal, etc...

There is one body and that is made of energy. This energy can take many forms depending on what we focus on. Thus there is only Source, and Source is Energy.

Yes-- but I prefer subtle bodies because they are all the same, but the differences are what allows us to really learn and reconcile our condition--

The subtle bodies are required to be reworked; which I can say is something like this, that you have a book, a movie, a tv series, a radio play, all of the same thing.. but that in order to understand the truth of this novel, we needed to bring together the depth that each medium allows us to see that is lacking compared to the others-- the book has the whole plot but no images, the movie has characters richly painted and but tightly presented, the tv shows production value was limited, but was well made and stuck to the book canceled before the end was made clear, and the radio which lacked a bit of everything, brought things together to make the images easily arise in the mind--

You see each body in our mind, is not a different body; but that it is the same body of material with different perspectives that each show you its own unique quality of insight, but is unable to unite its unique insight into a clear coherent order with all other insight--

So you study the book, the movie, the show, the radio, and all the common points tightly stitch it together, but every point that differed in detail that seems incompatible with the others must be truly dealt with in the end, because that is the work of the final body, to have a fully coherent mental image of the reality in front of you that projects all these different insights into your view so that it is readily available for us--

That would be the third eye opening in most people's opinions; not necessarily my view--

My view is when there is no more projection and the thoughts match reality so well that they are indifferent from it, they move with every bit of the movement in front of you-- No realm of spirit that seems to coexist parallel to ours, but parallel to the formations we experience in the sense of all the movements of atoms and such that our invisible to the naked eye, and whos emergent properties can be understood as no invisible field of energy pervading us; but of choices being made by the patterns within us that arise as ourselves--

The way it's usually taught is that we have a number of subtle bodies: etheric, astral, mental, causal, and a couple of higher Divine bodies.

Now, the etheric (or vital) body is a body of energy - prana. In addition to some other functionality, it keeps our physical body alive while in incarnation.

The question is what happens to it after physical death?

It is believed that it exists some limited time before it disintegrates and vanishes entirely. The time it survives after death depends on the individual person, for example, whether they are young or old, positive or negative, etc.

What actually survives after death are the higher subtle bodies. Not even the astral and mental body survive as such, but their essence preserved within the causal body which is the real Higher self of the individual.

If you think of the subtle bodies as pathways for energy, and that those pathways of energy are just forms of relationships which allow that energy to be worked with; than if you know the source of your subtlest bodies, you can return to your essence and come back down using those relationships that are inherent to your being--

Yes it is real.
Human energy field is made of several layers whvh penetrates through the body and extends outward from the skin.These levels, or energy bodies cannot be considered less real than our physical body

Ok i have some troubles in defining this Question.

What i want to ask you all, do you Really believe that the body has got the other 'subtle' Bodies or something else ?

Is the Body the Source of the Other bodies ?
Do you believe that the other energetic bodies are fueled by the means of the Physical body ? (or in the other way, is your Belief that the Body is the Dynamo of the Energeticall bodies)

It is not that i need the answer to these question, but i want to point to something. To something of which the Physical body is not capable of.

Firstandlast - thank you for the brilliant explanations here - this helped me a lot with the energy body ideas. To me it seems like we don't create our bodies at least not before we are awakened. The energy body that you are joins the creator Source intelligence to create denser bodies, and we can become practiced at affecting those but it's a long way from ascension as most of us need that higher intelligence working through us.
