serpentine pottery
Serpentine pottery which is black in colour, is used extensively in the state of Manipur in India. I bought a couple of coffee mugs yesterday that looked mysterious and black/black green. The coffee poured into them tasted as it does when served in earthern ware (terracotta), sort of earthy. I googled and found that this pottery is supposed to be good for health and digestion and can push toxins to the surface just as the crystal serpentine dispels parasites. It is supposed to resonate with the Manipur chakra (solar plexus). Does any one know anything about this?

That sounds really cool! Does serpentine pottery have a special name? I'd like to look it up online and see images.
Where did you use serpentine pottery? Was it a trip to India, or do other places use it, too?
