Here is the way I sort things out.
There is the ( me , my-self , and I )
me = my flesh body which is neutral.
My-self = My EGO which can be trying to make me separate from God and Light.
I or I am = which is my Spirit which always is connected with God or Light. And it is the EGO that blocks me from being aware of the Light and Love of God.
This EGO/self is my creation and therefore it can be dismantled by my awareness of it and keeping track of it and working with God on it.
So if you are saying I AM is your EGO I understand what you are saying?
