Heart Connection?

I hope this is the right place to ask this. I had a very powerful experience a couple months ago and I've been trying to understand it.

It happened in the meditation class I've been taking. At the time, I was lying on my back, "feeling" my core chakra's energy with my hands (like a magnet). While I was doing this, someone walked by and I had the most amazing sensation... I've never felt anything like it and it's hard to find words adequate enough to describe it. It was like there was suddenly this "channel", between my heart chakra and this other person's. It was like electricity or fire. It only lasted maybe a second or two, but it was very powerful. It felt like an exchange of energy.

Anyone else ever experience something like this? I've asked about it in another forum and have had it suggested that this was a "soulmate" connection. Is that what it was? It's crazy because I'm not sure what to feel or how I should approach this person. We have also had an "eye connection"... where you meet their eyes and instantly sense something pass between you and them that surpasses words.

Each person has a Mercaba(spelling?) which is 8 meters wide. It is our personal multidimensional energy field. When that "someone" walked by, you were open enough to connect with their energy field. That amazing sensation was a result of vibrational attunement with that person, as I see these things.

We do have soul bonds with many people I suspect. There are a lot more than just a few love ones from previous incarnations who we may encounter in life.

I have felt the energy of others who have walked by. I should mention my eyes were closed during all of this. I have sensed people walking around. This was something else entirely different. It was STRONG and it felt like a direct connection between our two heart charkras. I suppose it could have been the solar plexus, but it felt like the heart.
