Its simpler to just think Paul was doing some 'Judaising' himself by actually introducing these things, not to appeal to the original Christians but to those with more socially conformist attitudes like himself that he was preaching to.
Any times Paul seems less restrictive is when he is reflecting the original Christianity of Jesus
The portrayal of the apostles as being very conformist is something suggested in the new testament but only based on a few passages

Well put. Perhaps Paul, with his background as a Pharisee, was indeed doing some "judaising himself by actually introducing these things".

There is undoubtedly a lot of good stuff in the Bible and the scriptures of all traditions, but there is also at least some stuff that requires at least some questioning as you have duly noted.

Yes Still, and i like your fair approach, is it possible to be too fair :)
I'm not comfortable with the term 'judaising' really and regret having to use it. It seems totally meaningless and vaguely offensive. It has nothing to do with Jewishness but appears to be a way of saying 'literalistic/legalistic concepts', you know the stuff that makes people's lives a living hell
A lot of folk see Jesus as questioning those, because he does in the gospels
But then Christianity has developed it's own set and can't see that Jesus was opposing those same things, i'm so happy to have realised this it has restored my faith in divinity

not so, satan or the wicked Angel, tempts us by what he sees from us. Jehovah God and Jesus related to Adam personally, concerning that tree. when they created Eve, it was Adam's job to relate their messages or warning to her. NOTICE, (Gen. 3:1), where the wicked angel spoke through a serpent, he addresses Eve. the bible does not say that Adam was around at that point. also satan being an Angel, knew that it would be much easier to persuade Eve, more so than Adam.

because satan knew also that Adam got the warning first hand. satan most likely had been eyeing the situation, to see who he could tempt. it might have been that Eve, was caught either staring at the tree. or even spoke to Adam, asking why couldn't they eat of that tree. satan could have lead her away from Adam, maybe he was asleep. whatever the situation, that wicked Angel, knew he had a better chance with her, than with Adam. he also seen how Adam was with Eve.

so he must have known that it would be Eve who could persuade Adam ,(verse 6 She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate). what makes it more likely that she persuaded him. was the fact that the verse said, "she gave it to her husband." and as the verse from my last post showed, it was Eve, who was fooled. Adam just chose to follow his wife, maybe out of weakness because of her persuasive words. peace

‘Be careful not to become conceited thinking to yourself: “Look how anchorites are coming to see me, a mere woman.” ’ But Amma Sarah said to them, ‘According to nature I am a woman, but not according to my thoughts.’

This is what Amma Sarah said to two anchorites. And since she was the 'man' amongst the three, then it follows that the two anchorites took the place of the woman for that time.

She surpassed the two anchorites In spiritual power and wisdom.

Perhaps we need to look into the spiritual definition of man and not the physical one.

Isn't Christ the husband of His Bride? Let the Church not lead Christ, but Christ lead the Church.

AMEN.
