Good luck, I hope it will work. If it does not, keep trying. That is what I do. There are a few things to be aware of. You may know them already. Any feelings of excitment, being afraid, thinking about your body will end AP process. Occasionally I get urges and I hate it as it wrecks my AP. It only happens when I am about to leave my body.
You may have problems with falling asleep. What I do is I listen to music, not relaxing music as it will put me to sleep. It has to be music that is hard to fall asleep. You do that for a while. Then the next night I do not have to listen to music or anything. I am training my mind to stay awake and it seems to work. I practice to AP and I do not fall asleep unless I want to.
