Your welcome. I suspect that a lot of people become confused or find themselves a bit mind-boggled by these changes, and indeed the general evolution and growth towards these higher frequencies. It's a shame more people don't take the time to understand or give it some thought as it can be very interesting, even on a basic level, like keeping the emotion diary. It can open up a whole new exciting chapter I bet.

There are some levels I resonate with personally, others I am verging on. Time will tell I suppose.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Kaze.

Prior to human birth (this life), when spirit coalesces a soul and first incarnates into a human embryo, it could be argued that, for the most part it is without human ego or personality. The latter is said to develop in the soul during the first years of life through the adaptation to a physical life as a human being.

One could be reasonable in suggesting the ego develops because soul is influenced by the body, and through it, the world. Physical experiences, our 5 sense and their perceptions, neurological functions and instinctual drives all make their mark on the soul. Through perception (mostly) the soul is arguably shaped by education and social programming. As a result and accordingly to this, the soul acquires a mask carved by all these influences; this mask could be aptly named “ego” (some would or could say the “mind”) which is associated with human personality and lower intellect.
Continuing from the above point, the ego (or lower intellect) is an artificial intelligence, an automaton, a ‘computer’ with a personality programmed by genetics and environment (and social/environmental factors). It arises partly from the brain’s own neural construction that makes allowance for intellectual function and partly from the portion of the soul molded by worldly and bodily factors. Therefore it’s suggested that the ego is the streamlined interface through which soul operates proficiently within the physical and social environment. Again with reference to Freud, he said the ego is a surface or projection of the id, meaning it is the part of assemblage of instinctual drives within us that has adapted to the world through conditioning.

Also, further to this explanation, I like the idea that when spirit, the source of sentience, looks through the mask explained above and identifies with it, the two together create our human sense of self. What we consider “me” is a composite of pure sentience (spirit) and personality (ego). So ego arises at the boundary between body and soul, and spirit wearing the mask of ego gives rise to human identity.

Since ego is what the world extrudes from the soul and since the world is fundamentally about competition and survival (relating back to nature and it’s often forgotten importance), the ego is likewise pre-occupied with physical matters and is inherently survival-based and self-serving. By default, it behaves as a self-serving predator, representing the personification of inner biological and astral drives streamlined by external world influences, factors and standards.

Further to this, it may be considerable to note that the ego does not require spirit to function; if anything it is mutually restrained and antagonized by spirit considering they are opposite in nature. For spirited humans, spirit usually takes a passive role in being the conscious observer looking through ego, but apparently, as is the case with spiritless humans, the ego can function equally well without an observer. In that case then it would have just as much personality, except without any potential restraining or creative influences that spirit may offer. So when spirit may be entirely absent, or even when the spirit is present but ‘asleep’ and offering no counter-influences, then the ego is the only intelligent ‘running the show’ and could be considered quite the tyrant.

Perhaps one of the key aspects of ego is that it separates us from animals (as well as having intellect, mind and personality – which could all be considered as ego or at least part of). The ego is an extrusion of the soul. Since both humans and animals have souls, in my belief at least, why don’t animals have intellect?
Maybe because the formation of ego depends on world influences that reach the soul through the body. Since animal bodies are mostly less evolved in comparison to the human form, and therefore for the most part their brains are somewhat considered by science simpler and lack the higher cortial functions, the ego-forming influences never reach their souls and so the full ego, in theory, never forms.

Again, another point I have been interested in suggests that through ego/intellect we can model the world internally; turn it over in our minds, relive the past, fantasize, imagine, consider the future, construct language, perform abstract calculations and engage in complicated lines of reasoning (almost like this thread!). All these abilities, some say, owe themselves to one defining feature of intellect: that its output can become its own internal input.
There is an internal self-referential, circulatory feedback looping characteristics to the intellect. For example, the ability to inwardly “see” an imagined scene. Spirits operating through intellect is what simultaneously allows for the production and observation of an internal idea or image; output becomes input and the ensuing feedback loop momentarily closes itself off from the external world.
Essentially, without going further into more perhaps mind-boggling explanation with regards to this particular aspect of the idea/theory, it is this that allows spirit within the body to observe its own awareness and thereby achieve self-awareness whilst incarnate.
Without intellect/ego, spirit in the human body would have awareness strictly directed outward to the world.

Basically, from this, one could conclude that intellect is a soliton within the soul. In physics solitons are waves that circulate within themselves and recycle their energy instead of dispersing it directly back into the environment, thus they are like entities that individualize off from their surrounding medium.

With regards to the formation of higher ego in the soul, the soul is also influenced by spirit; not just body. Unlike ego, this higher mask represents the true face of spirit. When spirit identifies with the mask of its own making, the “super ego”, then we have divinity personified. Thus the soul has two extensions: ego and super ego. The first associated with human personality and the latter with divine personality and higher reason.
In life, we as spirits, decide which of these opposites to align with and nurture. If we attune ourselves to spiritual influences and think transcendently, we increase the divine personality. If we absorb ourselves in materialism and predation and think only calculatively, we increase the ‘lower personality’. Spirit has the choice, whilst incarnated, which of these personalities to build upon and step into.

Triad of Progression

Ignorance, rejection, revelation. These 3 words describe/summarize the 3 stages, according to some, the path between believing a lie and grasping the truth. One could observe them as a problem – reaction – solution sequence or model toward divine ends.

Essentially, ignorance is false belief reinforced by mental and emotional programming; an unwillingness to seek or open to a greater or further understanding. Sometimes this can come from a lack of intellectual application and/or absence of true intuition.
Rejection rears its head when one glimpses at all the fallacies of the first stage (ignorance) but is shocked into losing balance and perspective. This stage requires intellect, but suffers from an absence of intuition. Rejection could be described as a logical inversion of the first stage; a negative image so to speak.
Revelation is when one sees the fallacies of the first stage, the contextual short-comings of the second stage, and the constructive truth residing beyond both of them. This requires both intellect and intuition – the former to see the fallacies and the latter to gnostically leap into a higher level of understanding.

Most of mankind is believed to never make it past the first stage; existing instead as mainstream mouth pieces for the ‘Matrix Control System’. Many lack in the higher chakras and are thus seemingly incapable of revelation, whilst others are simply too busy with body and ego survival to take care for ‘rocking the boat’.
Then there are some who awaken from the first stage; they think they’re pretty clever in seeing all the flaws in some mainstream institution or belief system – those who get fixated on rejection tend to plunge into cynicism, skepticism and negativity, all because their energy is devoted to pulling weeds rather than planting seeds.

During the second stage most people are emotionally shocked and frustrated which leaves them vulnerable. Shock can stun intellect into adopting an immature binary view-point; that if something is a lie then its logical negative (opposite) must be the truth.

In the third stage one comes full circle. For example, atheists may once again believe in a higher deity but nothing like that is propagated in mainstream religion. Those who rejected the naïve positivity of new age tosh in favor of cynical “objectivity” may once again believe in the value of positivity but this time only when matched with awareness.

These stages therefore are 3 points on a helical spiral where a full 360 degrees brings one upward to the beginning of the next turn. One starts at 0 degrees; ignorance, runs madly to the opposite side at 180 degrees; rejection, and then completes the turn at 360 degrees; revelation.

More on this later… It would be nice to know if anyone is actually bothering to read this thread at all and/or what they think of it?

Conscious Awakening – Step 1

It’s imperative that we awake from somewhat mundane awareness into full spiritual awareness and remembrance of who we are. One problem is that even when physically awake we can be mentally asleep, totally unaware of ourselves whilst being immersed and absorbed in whatever mechanical impulses or external stimuli captures and holds our attention for a period of time. This state of mental absorption keeps us in an un-productive dream state.

The first step to awakening requires breaking out of this confluence by gaining a degree of lucidity; a measure of self-awareness. At any moment you can turn your attention inward and observe yourself, placing your attention firmly in the present moment. This way you can notice your thoughts, analyze your feelings, pay attention to the sensations in your body and feel your breath.
In doing so you become aware that all these perceptions are still originating outside of “you” even if they are happening inside your mind; because at the core of your mind is a centre of perception that defines the true “you” while the peripheral territory of your mind is inhabited by thoughts that may or may not be your own. This inner core acts as the silent observer; the consciousness watching through your eyes and thinking through your mind.
According to some, becoming lucid can depend on being cognizant of your own self-awareness – some call this a state of self-remembering since confluence is forgetting yourself. Lucidity is as simple as turning within and remembering yourself in the moment, which stops confluence. And stopping confluence is the first step to truly remembering your spiritual identity. It is one thing to know that you are, but quite another to know who you are; the first leads to the second.

Being consciously present in the moment is very easy to implement, but difficult to achieve and maintain. The problem is both physical and metaphysical. Initially, heightening one’s state of awareness requires both vital energy and an adequate supply of neurotransmitters. Naturally these deplete after a short period of exertion and one slips back into lower consciousness again. However, like a physical work-out, mental activity is strengthened with training because the physical and subtle bodies adapt to a greater demand for energy. Maintaining lucidity becomes easier with practice also, as one gradually increases depth and focus.
Meditation can help with this, according to many sources, as not only does meditation upon physical sensations break confluence with external provocations; it assists in transmuting internal negative emotional energy.

It is said that the Divine provides the opportunities for our spiritual evolution, but we must act on these possibilities for us to realize – in terms of actualizing and manifesting – for these to take effect, so to speak.

Level of Being – Characteristics – Entities – Faculties – Manifestation
spiritual/super sensual – eternal\unchanging – forms/ideas – higher reason/intellect – spirit body
metaphysical/physical – intellect/nonmaterial – concepts/symbols – reason/intellect – subtle body
material/empirical – measurable/tangible – person/objects – thoughts/senses – physical body
