Again, we see why and where people focus and choose to see damage and destruction as a focus.

As humans we have choices when we have them and know through an open aware state of being. One that understands the nature of all things connected as a whole through their own knowing and open aware state.

There is much good, love and joy in this world, as there is the rest. When humans keep banging on the negative, it becomes like a parent only noticing negative, behaviours, without a caring loving approach to those things. The earth is treated as humans are treated and feel from within.

We are the change we wish to see, I believe that works in every way we model, behave, speak and relate to the world.

Yes, well said. I would add to this that nobody can comprehend the true whole spiritually either. Human =/= God. It's just scraps and pieces that people gather, momentary experiences. People can experience spirituality but true 'self-realization' - as in total cessation of all desire, attachment, and form - (what it usually means in traditions mentioning self-realization) is imagination. Those without these may raise their hands.. oh wait, that's already not possible!

At some point there weren't even humans. Who sought enlightenment then..? Who was there to realize self..?

A brown bear? Stegosaurus? A weeping willow? A fern plant?

We humans can be SO arrogant, thinking we are the center, that everything is made for us and for our species-specific desires...!!

It depends what we believe about how life evolved on this planet.
