Question New Reiki Practice Have a Question

I just started practicing Reiki. I'm certified at level one. I did a self treatment this morning when I woke up and when I got to my knees I had this cool very very tingly spot in between my shoulder blades and it felt like someone was touching me there. I'm so new to this I'm not sure what that could mean. Any ideas?

Hi Gabrielle,

congratulations on your Reiki level one certification!
Doing self-treatments is a great way how to start with reiki. Not only you help yourself physically and psychically, but you are also improving your own ability of energy perception.

The sensation you described may mean various things. It depends whether this sensation repeatly occurs or it was only one time only experience.

However, in most cases, reiki practitioners feel cold/hot sensations when there is an energy block in the body. After doing multiple reiki healings, it should disappear once the block is removed.

I would say you should carry on with self treatments, don't worry about the individual cold spot and you will see.

Hello Gabrielle is this the first time you are doing self-treatment? Just note that and observed what goes for you. For myself, when I was started, I noticed many sensations, and all of this sensations have a message pertaining to a healing block that is for me. You can try to check-in with yourself everyday before doing healing and after about how you feel energetically. As I continuously do my healing I noticed my perception towards energy has grown greatly, with much effort needed to devote myself in this.
