Not all people who meditate are awakened but all awakened people have or do meditate lol,
that's like one the millions of quotations you find on Facebook,
like if your man says anything remotely wrong ..then he is probably not remotely a man...you know the stuff like that ..they all come from a quotation factory which is inside a mountain near Zurich ive been told lol...

There would be no requirement to remove the thorn for connection purposes if it is Oneness manifesting as both the thorn in and the thorn out:) Likewise it would also not be necessary to realize that (or anything else) if it is Oneness manifesting as both seeing and not seeing:)

Yes..again, if its a connection which comes by way of conceptual understanding, it's still serves the egoic mind/personality. When it all over, its not really a connection at all. More like an absorption-blend into what has always been the natural state or ground of being. From this no thingness, everything is.

In the spiritual supermarket there are many such stories offered to you (some even claim to be true:) along with only one story that requires nothing from you whatsoever for connection purposes. It is the non duality story that asserts that ALL is already complete just as it already is with no distance to travel at all for total unavoidable connection to the sublime no matter what your current state may be.

The latter is usually for those who have suspected all along that the answer is that things are already perfect just as they already are, or who have become disilussioned with progress on this or that path.

There is no path because no one is on it. If the "you" that is told this is still their choosing to believe everything is already perfect or not...then it's simply another concept the mind plays out.

This sounds very shin Buddhist to me (jodo shinshu).

There is no volitional approach to either facet, so it's not like anyone can do it, therefore, when it comes to spiritual practice, meditation falls into two basic categories: the volitional where one has to do something, or the non volitional where one sees it as it is. You can't it have it both ways, and therein lies the difference.

THinking that not being there anymore is required is missing the point that Oneness is both the state of being there and the state of not being there! So being there or not is irrelevant in terms of connection to Oneness.

That distinction makes no difference whatsoever to Oneness being both facets so the practise also makes no difference in terms of connection to Oneness which is already the state before and after practise.

But it doesn't matter who or what is being served for Oneness is already both and all.

I have not studied that but will look it up. Thanks. Or you could describe it if you like.

Self realisation regards a conscious recognition, as opposed to the more common oblivion people tend to. The purification is similar in principle with 'this' rising to dissolve in conscious awareness (as opposed to the avoidance and pursuits that people tend to).
