A state of being affirmation
I am determined to be cheerful and happy
in whatever situation I may find myself.
For I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness
is determined not by our circumstance but by our disposition.

The first line is enough - the rest is redundant. Plus, looking backward on misery and unhappiness is slightly clinging to the past. One doesn't need to go into why one is affirming. I will be cheerful and happy is enough.

It's a good one, even though some might see it as redundant. The thing is, there's such a gap between theory and practice. I tell myself all the time that I should remain happy and calm on every situation, but damn, when the physical brain gives you the emotions... how can you ignore them? it's difficult, but I guess it's a process 'cuz you get better with time at ignoring it.
