ABOUT GROUPS

I'm really not sure if this is considered a Forum Topic, but it is a curiosity that I have not yet been able to resolve.

I noticed in my profile that it says I do not belong to any groups, and yet I cannot find a place anywhere that talks about groups or a place for listing groups.

So . . . regarding Spiritual Forums, what are Groups? Does Spiritual Forum have groups? If so, how does one check them out to see if one wants to join?

Thank you,

Maya Ohmm

Hello MayaOhmm,

To my knowledge the only groups that are here on the forum are the Staff,

Trial Moderators
Moderators
Super Moderators
and Administrators.

To my knowledge there are not any specific, separate groups that members can join.
If there are, someone else from Staff is welcome to correct me

You do have the option to put people on ignore (which could be an ignore group ) or there is the Buddy list ( which is where you can list your friends)

I hope this helps you

I have been wondering the exact same thing.
I impart that it would be a great idea to create groups for like-minded folks to chat and whatnot about the particular focus of said group.
I'd certainly be down.

Hello

The Groups are "Not" groups that are formed on the site. The Groups means outside activity groups. For example I could put under there that I run a Non Profit Metaphysical Society, we have monthly Guest Speakers but at this time we do not record them for You Tube ext so I do not choose to put there.

SF is an open forum discussion site and if we were to open separate "Group" areas we might well loose control of the content of them. This aspect is covered by the Chat Room and there is a Private Chat option but we too respond to members complaints there on what is often shared with them that is not appropriate for an "All Ages" site.

If members wish that deeper connection this is where things like Skype and Facebook comes into play.
