I asked my Genie this morning
“What to do” and “Where to go”
He replied with a simple few words
“It's up to you – you know”
So I asked again Genie number 2
But he took too long putting on his shoe
So I reached for genie number 3
And he pointed out to the lifeless tree
“Your leaves are just about to fall” he said
And with that I shook my head
“That was helpful” I thought
I think I’ll ask the Genie, I just brought
So once again I ask “what to do”
And his reply came like a lump of wood
Still asleep he was you see
And this still, was no good for me
So I went out and brought, yet another Genie
And put forth my question
He said “I should go with what I feel”
For life’s a grand progression
“And by the way”, he added
“Genies are not real”
Just a bit of nonsense
