What exactly are you looking for if you don't mind my asking? Like what about that link that was provided, didn't ring true to you?
I went looking in my links and found this one that talks about how the early Christians believed in reincarnation. Maybe reading through this and seeing what the first believers understood will help you find what you are looking for.

Maybe NDEs are not meant for evangelical purposes unless the experiencer was an evangelist in which case he or she will be reporting on his or her personal experience just like the others.

On looking back at the link, I understand what you mean. A quick perusal of the various segments seems like that persons opinion based on what they have read.
I think what you need to do if you are really interested in reassurance on the issue is to start reading an assortment of NDE books and articles. Get the information that experiencers have written down. Read some of the books written by the researchers and doctors who have compiled case studies. Like Raymond L. Moody and Elizabeth Kubler Ross(?). I once read a book by an investigative writer who explored and 'exploded' the mainstream medical associations excuses for the reported NDE's. It was kind of a hard read because I'm not a doctor or a scientist but when the smoke settled, it made sense to me.
If you are going to just take the opinion of someone here instead of looking to the words of those who've experienced an NDE, you're bound to feel a little frustrated. I can't do it right now because I'm prepping to go on a bit of a holiday to Quebec City for a week, but if you wanted, I could dig out my box of books and give you a few suggestions to read. Or you could just do a Google search for the names of some books.
