Is there anyone so wise as to learn by the experience of others?

If you set out each day to do all the goodness and kindness that you can, and to do no harm to man or beast, then you are walking the highest path.
And when your time is up, if you can leave the earth a better place than you found it, then yours will have been a life well lived.

Opening doors
I have long believed that there are those who are so wise, advanced and super human that they are the only ones able or even willing to open doors for the rest of us poor, pathetic, sinful, unevolved and inferior creatures. Jesus or the latest U.S. president would be such a Superior Being.
Then, I heard a minister at a Metaphysical Church saying that "we all TAKE TURNS opening doors for each other" and it completely changed my view and attitudes about higher/lower, better/worse, super/inferior, blessed/cursed, sinner/saint, god/devil and every other "us vs. them" attitude that I was given or picked up along the way. I could now see that I had (somehow) opened doors for a lot of (superior) folks as well as them opening doors for me. I relaxed in the belief that we are all EQUAL and important for each-other and that even the best and most exalted of us had doors opened for them by ordinary creatures. I still fall back into my old patterns of better/less-than but it helps my self esteem and self worth to accept that even I can and did open doors for others who opened doors for me along the way.
Equality really is a blessing - especially if you were raised to believe that some individuals are BETTER THAN YOU.

"To make the right choices in life, you have to get in touch with your soul. To do this, you need to experience solitude which most people are afraid of, because in the silence you hear the truth and know the solutions."
Deepak Chopra
“The artist’s task is to save the soul of mankind; and anything less is a dithering while Rome burns. Because of the artists, who are self-selected, for being able to journey into the Other, if the artists cannot find the way, then the way cannot be found.” ~Terence McKenna

Today I bent the truth to be kind, and I have no regret, for I am far surer of what is kind than I am of what is true
