Self Love

I have been trying to have self love for myself and have a higher self esteem. It hasn't always been easy because I sought validation from family members and peers in my 23 years of living. It's really fine to be confident and take pride in your self image. You attract what you put out into the universe and people can sense when someone isn't confident and doesn't love themselves. Well for me it has always been that way because I'm easily readable even though I try to be invisible. I believe it's my Aura that I give off . Not to mention that I had only crushes on guys whom never recuperated the same feelings for me in return, to add salt to the wounds I have become Limerent over certain ones who made an impression on me. I want to be in a relationship someday but I have to be in one with myself. I have to adore myself and cherish my imperfections before I can start being in a relationship with anyone. I'm gradually getting better and taking care of my physical appearance, I even want to learn to apply a little Makeup every now then, just to make myself feel beautiful on the outside too. Self love is important because nobody is going to love you like your love yourself.

Although I've seen a few "god lovers" who still carried some self contempt anyway. Self love, god love, whatever works.........

Ok, 'knowing' God takes one out of self contempt.
When one knows and understands the Creator, up close and personal,
which can be done by Grace...one sees that, ''Oh I am part of and loved by this Magnificent Being.''
To wallow in anything less than this knowledge is a trick of the egoic mind...or lower ego self...
and we all have an egoic mind we need to keep reined in!
(To be open to reality...ie, we are very loved and are lovable!)

It took a lot more than just loving or knowing god to help me up and out of bad self esteem - mostly psychological work. Crossed fingers would not have helped me and many other at all.

Yes, you definitely do not want to "wallow" in bad self esteem or self contempt, etc.
