Does mirror therapy work?
I am sure you guys heard this but in self help books like Louse Hays, she and others write, "I love you *your name*" many times a day to yourself in the mirror. My sister and I were talking on the phone and how she heard about doing mirror work and how it makes her uncomfortable. It makes me pretty uncomfortable too :/ Like we just want to hide away. Ever get those days where you just don't even want to look at yourself?
Anyway, is saying I love you to yourself in the mirror effective? I want to be more at peace with myself, love myself, accept, and forgive.

Funny you bring said subject up.
I am starting something today with a few people for 49 days, regarding mirror work...It will be interesting to see how it goes...
(7 days / 7 weeks)
prior to this and still, once a day I say to myself whilst looking into my eyes
"My name, I love you , you are beautiful, thank you"
felt odd for awhile, but now its fine :))
