They say the heart chakra is the gateway to the soul.., could I possibly have a gateway through other chakras too?

Who says that?

Not sure the soul exist in tantric teachings. It is rather that it is said that in the Heart is a world where all the good stuff exist, like a tree that fulfills all wishes. If you mean the anahata, it is said that it is the realm where things exist in its purest form. Some say it is a place where you move beyond the realm of karma, yet again not sure karma exist in tantric teachings But yes there are many realms one can visit through each chakra; in the root you can visit the four lands of bliss.

could you elaborate each realm for me or give me a link of descriptions and stuff? And do these tie into the etheric, and mental realm, etc?

Essential everything ties into the etheric; which kinda fills up your mind with impressions; these impressions we call life. You might say that in some way most of it is astral, which is a fancy way of saying it is tied to your emotions; tied to how you feel in the present moment. Your chakras are wisdoms which are situated in the ether, each of them can be seen as a realm of its own if you travel into them. Yet where are you truly traveling to? Deeper into yourself, into your true nature that dwells in the depths of who you truly are. Like the physical manifestation of Nirvana is called the brain, so if you dwell deeper and deeper into your mind, then certainly, at some point you arrive at a place you might call Nirvana.

Yet are you still in your head within in a chakra that lies hidden within the third eye, or are you some place else entirely? What you really want is expand these wisdoms into your present state of being so they enlighten you to live a fuller life You have to explore to find out this for yourself...

For me they are wisdoms that connect to your well-being, and by embracing them you get to experience a whole different kind of existence. Whether they exist with the certainty some argue is by all means questionable, mostly because there is a place in which becomes very abstract when the mind tries to translate it. To some they find God here, others experience chakras and so forth. But beyond this imaginative realm that the mind cannot fully grasp is the essence of life; something that is within understanding yet beyond conception. Each system of belief have its own way of addressing this, tantra used chakras as a tool to guide one to the greatest experience of this. Christianity uses Christ

Let's talk finally about the chakras:

The human body is permeated with tens of thousands of energy channels. The intersections of the largest of them form powerful centers of spiritual energy. In different teachings they are called in different ways: "wheels", "spokes", "chakras". From the bottom up is the Muladhara chakra, then the Swadhisthana-chakra, the Manipura-chakra, the Anahata-chakra, the Vishuddha-chakra, the Ajna chakra and finally the Sahasrara-chakra. Also the Chandra-chakra and the Surya-chakra one-fifth of each of the other aforementioned chakras.
Through these holes, there is a constant loss of energy. Usually people use the chakras to express one or another emotion or satisfy one or another desire. But this means that they thereby give the energy to flow out of the corresponding chakra. For example, when consciousness is led by hatred, the first chakra is used, when sexual desire is the second, when greed is the third, when love affection is the fourth, when the desire for struggle is the fifth, and when consciousness is in a state of self-gratification, the sixth chakra is used. Or when a person is grasped by smell and enjoys smells, he uses the first chakra. When he is tied to taste, he uses the second chakra. When he chases after beautiful things and is captured by visual objects, he uses the third chakra. When the bodily sensation of touch dominates him, he uses the fourth chakra. When he is at the mercy of beautiful sounds, he uses the fifth chakra. And when he falls under the domination of all kinds of images that pop up in the mind, he uses the sixth chakra.
As you have probably already realized, every chakra corresponds to a certain work of consciousness. Let's see the same work of human consciousness for each chakra in more detail.

The first chakra is Muladhara.
The revealed Muladhara is a flame in the form of an inverted triangle. It is connected with the element of the Earth, it is responsible for human health. From the sense organs it corresponds to the sense of smell. Negative aspect - ambiguity of thinking, uncontrollable anger, lack of physical strength, mental exhaustion.
The element of the Earth in the physical body is everything that relates to gross flesh: meat, bones, skin. Disclosure of this chakra strengthens the flesh, the body seems to be filled with energy, muscles increase. No matter how hard a person does sports, he will not be able to achieve perfection, if this spiritual center does not work. Conversely, the activation of this chakra gives the highest performance with minimal sleep time. However, the element of the Earth is an element of the lowest order, and one must take into account that its cleansing manifests also the negative aspect of the work of consciousness associated with this chakra. A person becomes extremely quick-tempered and irritable. Of course, this leads to a deterioration in relationships with others. But through this it is necessary to pass. Otherwise, it will be impossible to rise to the next level - the level of the Swadhisthana-chakra.

I have heard many detailed explanations and descriptions of chakras, but I have never been presented with tangible evidence that they exist, beyond scripture or metaphor. For example: why are surgeons unconcerned with energy centers when they open up a person to do surgery?

I believe that Quantum talk about infinite possible realities co-exist in any given moment until one is focused on. So these possible realities constantly go in and out of focus. In some there might be great validity to chakras in a very physical sense, while in other ones they are nothing more than metaphors. At least in Quantum it seem that anything that really matter is you belief, and then everything else will form around that or simply shift because it already had form in another possible reality...
