I think I almost had an astral projection

I was having a not-so-awesome dream, when suddenly I realized its plot was very far-fetched and decided to do a reality test by playing with the light switch. As I imagined, the lights stayed on and I was very happy to realize I was dreaming and, strangely, the dream became more lucid. Then I tried to end the dream by taking a deep breath and closing my eyes firmly. I ended up in my bed with a feeling of rough landing like I was shaking. But, as I was waking up I had a feeling of being "outside of my body", like I had a second one and, when I moved my hands, my real body remained still or if I tried to get up a bit it remained still too. At first I was scared, I was thinking I didn't want to have an OBE, then I calmed down and laid back closing my eyes again.

The thing is, I think that, maybe I was dreaming through all of that, and it was only a false awakening, because I don't remember waking up after that and, in general, it had a dream feel to it. Maybe I did, but I'm confused because it was a strange night, I slept very late and woke up too many times in the morning because of my family preparing for the day. The strange thing was my calmness through all of that, realizing the situations and knowing what to do each time. Whatever it was, it was cool.

dreams

has anyone fallen asleep on a couch during mid-day... entering that in between state where you are neither awake nor asleep. The quiet house suddenly becomes noisy with what I can only describe as a loud white noise - it sounds as if people are quickly moving past you or something like that, but you can't see anything. You try to move your arms but you can't. It is actually quite frustrating.

It may have been here that I posted a very similar experience, Al.

You're not alone in that. I was also close to your age when it happened.
