Meh, it's human nature. You see it in little kids just 1 year old.

I feel it may be conditioning.

Say the teacher pulled the gun on the student with plenty of witnesses. What if the teacher misses and accidentally kills another student? Who takes responsibility? The teacher? The student? The parents? The school? The NRA? More madness.

And where does the teacher conceal their gun? Down their trousers? In a holster? It would have to be on their person surely otherwise they're useless in a real situation.

In their desk? In a safe? What if another student got access to that desk? What if accessing the safe added a long delay to accessing the gun? Teachers are not always within the same room. What happens if a shooter waits until breaktime and does it in the playground? Total madness.

Mutually assured destruction.

If we can't do background checks on shooters good enough to be forewarned then what makes us believe we can do effective background checks on teachers?

In any system, the more moving parts you have, the more points of failure there are. Now we're hearing that there were 4 armed officers on scene during the shooting that did nothing. If 4 armed officers who are trained to stop a shooter didn't act then what makes people think that a teacher who seconds ago was talking about geography is going to act in time?

They haven't thought this through. It's just governed by the desire to make money selling guns. That's the only motive here, and if Americans allow this they are collectively murdering their own children while getting fat off the profits. Literally, madness!
Finally they interviewed a sheriff and he asked the same questions in response to whether he supported armed teachers. Better late than never...

I'm thinking about connections; spiritual connections and human connections and across-time connections.

And pn how some connections can be double / triple / multiple connections and so many of us still feel they have to be alone...

As if only purely spiritual connections count. "Blasphemy!, I say!" We are earthlings (on earth) for the human experience, how can those connections possibly be rated as 'less', it makes absolutely no sense. They are the mission - not getting out of here...

Hm. Yeah. That's that for now. Walking my tiger now...
