There are two areas that need consideration regarding dreams and aliens; one is a topic that people haven't heard of, and one is. The topic that people haven't heard about is endogenous DMT (N-Dimethyltryptamine). DMT is a natural hallucinogen we all have in our system. The arguments regarding the research in this have gone on for some time, but the bottom line is that DMT is naturally produced in our system.
I had a talk with Dr. Richard Strassman some time back, and had asked about DMTs effect on the dream state. He said:
"We don't know very much about the endogenous DMT system. But to the extent that non-drug states resemble those brought on by a range of doses of DMT, it makes sense there are common mechanisms at work."
So, DMT levels could rise, and, there would be some interesting effects on what you were "dreaming." Essentially, if you had been reading about "aliens" and "experiences," this residual information in your head could start a rather interesting dream ... that's what happened to me - along with the next topic.
We know this subject as the paranormal. It DOES exist, I've gotten into it for proof - end of story.
For this information regarding "aliens" and paranormal ... there's one book that you should read - the 2002 original work: The Other Sky by Landi Mellas and David Caywood.
Based on everything I've put together over the years, Landi's FIRST experience in 1951 is the sum and substance of everything we used to know ... after that, (except for one experience she had much later in her life), everything else was a paranormal attack. Even David met "himself" from the future. Other beings were there and it was said: "Together, we will teach others that which we know."
Oddly - none of these beings knew David would die of cancer two years after the book came out.
The idea is, there are more errors and deception going on than people realize. Have we looked at ALL the possibilities?
